Chance Tower - Retro Tower Defense
Chance Void unit guide for the Forsaken Collab in Retro Tower Defense: three-card self-support buffs, Hyperlaser Chance Clean Sweep skin, placement, and loadouts until September 4, 2026.

Chance Void Overview
Chance is the headline Void unit of the Forsaken Collab (August 21–September 4, 2026). He is not a primary DPS. He reads three cards and applies the chosen buff to himself and nearby allies—burst for bosses, area support for escort stretches, sustain for Endless.
Void sits above Epic and Legendary in pull difficulty. Treat a Chance copy as a flex support slot, not a Mage or Noli replacement. If you never pull him, you can still finish every collab badge; the unit is luxury, the maps are mandatory.
Search traffic for “Chance Retro Tower Defense” usually wants either this kit or the Hyperlaser Chance skin. The skin is a Clean Sweep badge reward on Hyperlaser Sniper. Owning Chance the unit is not required to unlock the skin.
Card Buffs and Placement
Stand Chance in the middle of your core so the card radius covers Gunner, Mage, and Helper Bot. On Forsaken Rift, the central elevation tile is the default. On Catacombs, hug the choke where escorts clump so area cards actually hit the lane.
Pick boss-burst cards on waves with named tanks, area cards when three or more noobs stack, and sustain cards when you are leaking chip into the base. In solo, pre-select the card before the wave spawns; in multiplayer, call the card so DPS players can time cooldowns.
Do not park Chance on a dead-end roof with no allies in range. A Void unit buffing empty tiles is a wasted loadout slot. Pair with Helper Bot so buffs stack instead of competing.
Hyperlaser Chance Skin vs the Unit
Hyperlaser Chance is a collab cosmetic on Hyperlaser Sniper, unlocked by Clean Sweep: Normal, no-modifier wins on Rift, Void, Catacombs, and Citadel. It does not grant the Void card kit.
If your goal is the skin, farm the four maps. If your goal is the unit, summon during the collab window and trade duplicates only after you have one copy locked in the loadout.
After September 4 the maps rotate out of the event playlist. Badge skins should be finished first; leftover Tokens convert to Tix.
