What the Star List Actually Means
Players search “Retro Tower Defense map stars” because the lobby uses a one-to-five star difficulty ladder, not just Casual/Normal/Hard. Stars describe layout and leak risk, not wave count alone. Normal still runs about 50 waves; Hard stretches toward 68. A one-star Hard is still easier than a four-star Normal if your loadout is Bloxxer and common Sniper.
Farm Tix on one- and two-star maps with Tycoon. Practice elevation on three-star maps before you spend revives on four-star layouts. Five-star Baseplate waits until Mage, Noli, or Doombringer plus Helper Bot are in the loadout.
Forsaken Rift, Void, Catacombs, and Citadel are collab maps (August 21–September 4, 2026). They are not on the classic star poster, but treat Rift like a two-star farm, Void/Catacombs like three-star, and Citadel Hard like four- to five-star pressure.
Classic Star Ladder
One star: Arch Park, Crossroads, Santa’s Stronghold. Walk In The Park is the Arch Park win badge. Start here for rooftop and cliff habits.
Two star: Devastation Station, Happy Home, Yorick’s Resting Place, Bloxxer’s Place #1. Happy Home teaches house roofs. Yorick’s Resting Place adds the stomp-stun boss—space towers even though the star count is only two.
Three star: Doomspire, Haunted Mansion, Rocket Arena, Santa’s Workshop, SFOTH. Telamon’s fire ring on SFOTH (finale and Endless 40/110) is the skill check, not the star icon. Haunted Mansion and Rocket Arena grant the Bloxxer and Demolition Expert win badges.
Four star: Chaos Canyon, Graveyard, Raving Raceway, Roblox Museum, Dark Park, What the…?. Grave Robber is the Graveyard win badge. Chaos Canyon is the community’s default “bring a Heroic” map.
Five star: Baseplate. Flat sightlines and long leaks punish missing splash. Do not learn the game here.
